Canine Good Citizen and Therapy Dog Testing

Olympic Mountain Pet Pals is sponsoring AKC's Canine Good Citizen and Therapy Dog Registration tests.

All dogs are welcome, but class size is limited, so pre-registration is necessary.

Pre-test preparation classes, as well as testing, are given in a spacious indoor facility with a rubber-matted floor in Chimacum at Lucky Dog Training. For more information please call Georgia Towle.

Class Info & Costs

Optional Prep Classes are $5 for an individual class or $8 for both classes (as a donation to OM Pet Pals). The Canine Good Citizen (CGC) Test ONLY is $10 (as a donation to OM Pet Pals). To receive a CGC certificate from AKC, the cost is $5 and is paid directly to AKC.

OM Pet Pals Therapy Dog Test combines the CGC Test with additional questions. Cost is $25 which includes a one year membership in OM Pet Pals, Newsletter, ID tag and provides $2M liability insurance. In addition, if you wish to receive a CGC certificate from AKC, the cost is $5 and is paid directly to AKC.

Passing the OM Pet Pals Therapy Dog Test is required for all dogs intending to be in the READ to ROVER program. It is optional for those involved in the Pets 2 People program.
